Which AMA Performance Are You Most Excited to See Tonight?
The 2010 American Music Awards are taking place in LA tonight with tons of stars expected to present, perform, and enjoy the show. Red-hot Rihanna and newlywed Katy Perry will each take the stage as will award show veteran Usher. Taylor Swift will sing another hit from Fearless, and Burlesque star Christina Aguilera is expected to share something from the soundtrack. Enrique Iglesias will get the crowd going with "Baby, I Like It," while mom-to-be Pink may tone down her acrobatic stunts. With the announcement of their upcoming tour, NKOTB and Back Street Boys, will share the spotlight and it seems like most of you are looking forward to it. We'll be there on the red carpet so make sure to follow us on Twitter and stay tuned for exciting news and photos all night. So tell us — which AMA performance are you most excited to see tonight?

“Girls’ Night Out”
Did you join us last night? If not you missed a great evening of food, fashion, and fun. You also missed the opportunity to take advantage of great savings on social occasion dresses and accessories.
Many of our brides had the opportunity to experiment with hairstyles and makeup–expertise provided by “Avalon” an Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa from Deer Park. The consultants from Avalon created some amazing hairstyles.
The A L’Amour consultants then worked with our brides to complete the look by adding hair combs, hair jewelry, flowers, feathers….
Veils, necklaces and earrings…..all of the finishing touches.
Also presenting a new concept for photo frames and video preservations, Valarie Moody from Fodeo Flip was available to explain her unique line. 
It was a busy evening, but hopefully everyone had a great time and enjoyed their experience with us.

“Spotlight” October Wedding

Erica and Matt’s Wedding Day.
What an amazing wedding day at Hawk’s View Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The early morning was overcast, crisp and cold–with a very few snowflakes spotted in the air. Who would have thought that would happen in early October?
The Venue—Hawk’s View Golf Club, a log, lodge-esk building surrounded by glorious grounds, and the hillscape of Lake Geneva–spectacular in the colors of early fall. The Overlook Terrace is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony to exchange wedding vows while basking in the panaromic views of the surrounding landscape.
Both the outdoor expanses and the rustic interior spaces at Hawk’s View Golf Club lend themselves to the spectacular fall season. On this chilly October wedding day, Erica and Matt were blessed with a wonderful golden sunlight; setting the stage for an absolutely gorgeous outdoor ceremony.
The bride looks amazing in the stunning charmeuse gown by Augusta Jones named ”Corsica”. She completes her look from head to toe by adding ”Fireworks” by Toni Federici in her hair–beautiful pops of glitz and stepped down the aisle in her peep toe shoes by Grazia–further enhanced with pearls down the back of the heel.
This fall wedding had a “vineyard theme” with rich colors and textures. The theme was cleaverly crafted throughout the outdoor ceremony and the reception later inside.
Erica’s bridesmaids wore beautiful espresso colored satin gowns by Jasmine with streamers flowing down the back.
A magnificant moment in time with the glorious colors and textures of the season.
The happy couple took advantage of the outdoor spaces to capture some incredibe photos.
The Reception….
As you walk into the dining room, you are suddenly swept away. The expansive windows literally bring the outdoors, in. The heavy timber log posts and beams fill the room with so much warmth and character.
Greeting guests are these clever table favors.
Then they are amazed at the warmth and elegance of the room.
What is truly amazing is that Erica’s wonderful Mother is responsible for all of the decorations!
From the headtable to the “Two Some” table for the bride and the groom–no detail was left to chance. The warmth of the room was enhanced with candlelight .
The cake–WOW!
Simple cake with grapes, vines, and ribbons–all capturing the colors of the season!

In 21 days A L’Amour will BE 21. It is hard to believe that 21 years have gone by. So many things have changed, and so many things have remained the same.
Over the next 21 days we will be reminiscing about the many things that have happened over the years…and all of the wonderful people we have meet. Hopefully we will hear from many of you and share memories.
We will think back on all the trends in fashion, not only in bridal, but in all of fashion. We will look back at weddings that have captured our imagination.
We will look at the economic ups and downs that have affected the business and the struggles and opportunities that were presented. We will attempt to thank those of you who have made A L’Amour what it is today…customers, vendors, designers, staff, family, and local/supporting businesses. We will talk about the old and the new friends of A L’Amour, staff who have moved on, and customers who have brightened our days.
We will be asking all of you to help us “Capture the Moments”. We would love to have you share pictures. Whether you celebrated an occasion in an A L’Amour dress in 1990 or last weekend, we would love for you to share your photos.
